Alaska, a huge and proud 7/8 female Gyr x Saker,
is a bird with enormous potential as a pursuit
hunter and
worth her weight in gold. Her large wings
makes her one of the fastest creatures on the
planet in level flight. She
was initially a hunting falcon for the royal
family, but was retired due to a collapsed
airsack. Fortunately she has recovered
completely and is
now
being trained to chase a lure behind a
remote-controlled airplane. This is a training
method rendering a falcon extremely fit and
strong. |
