Kelly is a mature female Black Shaheen with a very gentle nature. It was a bit of a challenge initially to persuade her to stay airborne, as she was inclined to land on the nearest perch after leaving the fist. However, as her confidence and fitness increased, she developed into a true ambassador of her species. She now stoops at well over 150 km/h at the lure and will regularly use any obstacle or person in the vicinity to "mask" her approach as she speeds like lightning towards the swung lure. She takes personal hygiene very seriously and is regularly seen taking a bath.
