Marley, an
intermewed Altai Sakeret, has an aggressive
nature and has the makings of an excellent
hunting bird. He is currently flown to the
traditional Arabic pole lure and his
perseverance and stamina is something to behold.
He has unusually dark plumage consistent with
his geographical origins in the Altai mountains
of Asia. He is notoriously "sticky-footed",
which means he tends to grip the glove very
tightly with his razorsharp talons. I discovered
this the hard way on one occasion when I
absentmindedly picked him up without wearing a
glove!
